| Description |
The abbey of La Lucerne, built between 1164 and 1178, is being reborn. Since 1959 it has been rising from its ruins, and the bells ring joyfully again over the valley.
During the hundred years war the word "d'Outremer" (meaning from over-seas) was added to its name to signify the attachement to the English Kings, descendants of the Dukes of Normandy, who where in favour of the building of the abbey.
