| Description |
In August 1944, 9 Allied divisions were surrounding 100,000 German tropps in the Falaise/Chambois pocket. The battle for Normandy was coming to an end.
The Mémorial de Montormel, on the site of the fighting, between Argentan and Vimoutiers, offers remarkable views over the Dives valley.
This museum describes the scale of the battle and the issues at stake by means of a film, a sound and light presentation and explanations from a guide. |
